Teaching children Gratitude…my 10 year old daughter writes!

The other day my 10 year old daughter handed us a letter. She typed a letter on gratitude. The letter made me smile and laugh at the same time. After reading I realized that she has grasped all of our teachings on being grateful. I would like to share this letter with you. Because just when we as parents think they are not learning, that could be far from the truth.

This is what the letter said:”THANKS! Mom and Dad thank you for all you do for us. We thank God for parents like you guys, well at least I do. I never really realized how blessed we are to have a mom and dad that are still together for 17 years, great ones too. And dad thank you for going to work every day, if it were not for you we would be living on the streets by now and mom thank you for working your business online, that fat sucking thing. And also, I never realized how blessed we are to eat food and drink clean water and have a nice warm home to sleep in. I know this Christmas has been different for us, so I made this card just for you guys, so Merry Christmas!

I often find myself teaching the same lessons over and over again. I believe that is no longer the case with my daughter. Especially with this particular lesson. She can now teach someone else on gratitude. I would like to encourage parents who feel like lessons to their children are in vain, to keep on teaching because eventually they will grasp it and when they do you will know it. What is Your Vision?

Do you have a vision as to what you want your life to be like? Have you even thought about it?

Dreams are visions that need to be put into action, action produces results. The only way to see results is to set goals that are compelling enough for you to make it happen. After defining your goals connect with it and go for it!

God has a purpose for your life and that purpose longs to be fulfilled. When walking in your purpose you will bring value to yourself as well as the world around you.

Acknowledge what God has called you to do, surrender and allow it to become real in your life.

There is no such thing as being too old or too young to walk according to your God given ability. God has no respective person.

Move forward to your higher calling. People perish because they have no vision. Write it down, make it plain and live it out. Knowing that the best is yet to come.

What is a self employment Opportunity? It could be anyone who works for themselves. Someone who has his own business, or someone in freelancing, or a self-governing contractor is a self employed professional. Whether you are working from home, selling goods on the internet or running a home based business, they falls under the category of self employment.

Getting started is either simple or hard. The thing is, you have to know whether you are good at convincing people to buy your products and your services, or if you are productive working on your own.

Nowadays, there are absolutely numerous self employment opportunities available. You just have to remember that self employment doesn’t come easy. You have to be willing to commit to your work, keep a positive mindset, set goals, stay focused and choose the right legitimate job or you will end up in a scam. Self employment is not a get rich scheme. Like any other job, you have to work hard to get paid. The most common self employment opportunities can be found online. There are online data entry, online teaching, online marketing, web designing, graphic designing, online surveys and etc.

If you are studying, or just want to earn extra income, you will be pleased to know that there are part-time online jobs too. Not only does this help you save time, but it also helps you save money. You can be your own boss. Work at your own time and pace. Work a few hours a day and still be able to finish up the other things you have planned to do. Doesn’t that sound great?

There’s a new fad today for a work at home mother. She does not want to leave home. Life with a special needs child

Thinking about my , has caused me to draw a blank about providing money making tips today. I would like to share a delicate part of my life; having a special needs child. I have hesitated sharing my story because I teach others, not to entertain negative thinking. But after speaking with my mentor, I have come to the conclusion that my life with a special needs child is not negative, but reality. There are some good and some not so good days, but I won’t complain. Not only is this my my life, but also the the lives of so many people. You may be able to relate to what I am about to share. Some of this will make you laugh and at other times it will make you cry. Before sharing the trials after giving birth to my son, I would like to share a recent triumph that seem so little, but means so much.

For the past three weeks my son with DS has been sick and very grumpy. A daily characteristic for most DS children, so I have been told. If my son does not get an adequate amount of sleep, he is not the easiest person to get along with. After seven years, I have learned that his rest is vital to my survival. As well as the people around him. If he does not get his rest, he will hit, kick and pout. For the last several weeks, I have allowed him to sleep in and arrive late to school, praying that he will have a good day and be nice to his paraprofessional.

Well this particular morning he slides down the stairs. I greet him with a big smile, a warm greeting and he says “rooooar”. I decided to ignore him and continue to do what I was doing. Shortly afterward, he runs to me with his arms wide open and says “mommy”. Jumps in my lap and kisses me at least twenty times, yes he is a charmer. I pray that his wife will like affection, because he sure knows how to charm a lady. I found myself blushing, due to all of the attention he had just given me. I thank God for giving me such a wonderful gift ! In spite of the challenges that I face, as a mommy with a child that has Down Syndrome. Those are the moments that I look forward to each and every day!.

Is it possible to find peace in the mist of pain

I am writing to discuss is it possible to find peace in the mist of pain? Because of my daily scripture reading {“Seek peace, and pursue it.” ~Proverbs 34:14} I was inspired to write a post on this particular subject. Recently, one of my family members was assaulted by more than one person. It is not until, you go through something like this, that you understand the pain that is felt. I had many different emotions going on at one time. There was apart of me that wanted revenge, and the other part of me wanted to know, what made these young people do something so bad to someone who was minding their own business.

As a mother I felt my pain, my child’s pain, as well as the pain of their parents. As far as I know, they could have had parents that did all of the right things, but the children still made their own choices.

I have found peace in the mist of the storm. I have decided that this is not my battle, it is the Lord’s. And that God will take care of the situation. He always has and always will.

Today, I found peace in this situation and pray that the young people will give their life to the Lord. The Bible says to pursue peace, I will do that by constantly praying for them that they will turn their lives around and make a difference in the world we live.

If God forgave me, who am I not to forgive them. We hold up our blessings when we refuse to seek peace towards those who hurt us.

Three Critical Steps To Make Money Online

There are three critical steps to making money online. In order to make money with a online business there are three critical steps that one must do. They are the same steps that an offline business requires.

First, a online business must be treated like a business. Working from home has so many distractions. You must look at your schedule and decide on how much time do you have to devote to your online business. Regardless, if it is 30 min. or 5 hours a day, you must plug it into your schedule and be committed to working it everyday.

Also, you must set aside a budget in order to promote your business. There are so many people who get online wanting to make money without spending any money. To be honest with you, it is possible but very difficult to do. If someone tells you, you can start an business online without money, they are telling you part truth.

Don’t forget about how important it is to avoid negative people, they can suck all of the positive energy out of you. Surround yourself with successful people, that are going some where in life. Read motivational books and connect with people who are doing the same thing as you, facing the same challenges as you also. But they are determined to make it to the top. Make sure you attend weekly trainings, they will help you stay on top of the internet and how rapidly it is changing.

The second step is to stay focused. You will be introduced to many programs while on the internet. If you are a newbie with limited funds look for free training, youtube is an excellent place to go for help or a system that provides free training like The New Rich Report After you have some training under your belt and feel comfortable, step out and spend some money if you feel the need to get advanced training. I recommend spending most of your money on tools and outsourcing. Having an internet business requires quite a bit of work and it is difficult to manage all by yourself, especially if you want to see results fast.

Last, but not least don’t quit. Starting a business is not a easy job and being on the internet is very competitive. But if you can continue to repeatedly focus on income producing activities, you will reach your goal and be glad you did not quit. Remember “A quitter never wins and a winner never quits.”

Follow Your Dreams

As a little girl, my heart would say “follow your dreams.” I had so many dreams to follow, but just as many disappointments. I often wondered how different life would have been, if I was not raised in a foster home. Don’t get me wrong, there was nothing wrong with the foster home, it just was not my home. It was not, until that magical day when my mother arrived and said “she was taking my siblings and I home.”

I learned that home is not necessarily where your parents are, but where your heart is. Being at home with my parents did not change the condition of my heart, it only changed my residence. I found safety, security and love in both places most of the time. But I was still a prisoner of my own mind. One of the first principles I learned, in order to escape from being a prisoner of my mind was to “let go and let God”

Once I lined up my thinking with God’s word, everything began to change for me. No longer did my struggles in life, hold me back from who God destines for me to be. I am reaching higher heights every day. Giving God the glory every step of the way. I have found as long as I keep my eyes on Jesus there is nothing to impossible for Him to do.

I have a special needs son that has Down Syndrome, before he was born I had great dreams and aspirations that I had planned to achieve. After his birth I laid my dream down. To God be the glory, I am moving forward with a special needs child. I have learned, if you want something bad enough there is nothing that can stop you from getting it.

So don’t allow life’s situations stop you from following your dreams, if I did it, so can you. “You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you”
